Towing at the limit of the Tremor

If I had known when I bought ours, it may have even come out after we bought it, but B&W has a hitch called Continuum that I wish I had bought. It may be worth looking into since you just got this one and may be able to return it.

So first time driving it and I have all 54gal of water full. At freeway speeds it feels the truck is moving slightly right and left. Like a sway but on the truck. I don’t see the trailer swaying. I’m not sure what’s wrong with the WDH. Do I need to add more to the front ? Or more to the rear? Also the tongue weight on this is fairly heavy. Before leaving it was 1,000 lbs. bass on these measurements what do you guys recommend? Before I make more adjustments to the WDH.

Something that I've heard Super Duty drivers mention, but it is not in the F-150 manual (I just checked), is that the automatic trailer sway control may fight the trailer when a hitch with sway control built in is being used. Maybe different systems between the two platforms, but it might be worth a test pull to see if turning off the built in sway control helps. The manual does say to turn off lane keeping assist while towing if you haven't done so already.

I’m running a similar trailer weight with Raptor Take-Offs at 38 psi all Round when towing. Curt 2P WDH, 5100’s on the rear.
I don’t have anything but the WDH and am not experiencing the “wobble” you are describing. Haven’t had it all weighed, but am close to level at the fender wells when towing. Up about 1/2 inch in front. Rear fender height is about 1/2 inch lower than front.
Nearest scale is about 100 miles away. Working on getting an accurate tongue weight. Factory specs say 550 lbs, but I’m pretty sure it’s more than that.
Dry trailer is 4700 / wet about 7500.

I made the mistake of turning it on one time. NOT FUN!

I have had my Equalizer hitch for a while. But I’ll read I to this one. I don’t think is the hitch itself.

I’m going to scale tomorrow with hitch and no trailer and compare the axles. And then try to move more weight to the front by adjusting the WDH again. I’ll take measurements of before and after of the wheel well front and back. And reading this now I had no idea we had to turn lane assist off. I was towing my prior trailer and didn’t have issues. . I’ll turn off as well. My prior trailer was lighter and most likely lighter tongue. From what I read having higher tongue weight shouldn’t give me this feeling though. This trailer has tongue 1,000 lbs when I went to the scale and gross weight with water was 5520 lbs. I’ll report back. Thank you

Aandrews109 : So do you turn off Sway Control since the Curt 2P also has sway control?

I don’t think I turned sway control off, but I’ll double check. I do have lane keeping off.

Following in my previous posts: Here are my results of the CAT scale with no trailer. I had the WDH on but no bars. Same scenario; Wife and kids were not in the truck but I’m assuming the ratio will compensate the same once I add 220 lbs.
With Trailer Hitched the Steer Axle was 100 lbs lower and drive axle 900 lbs higher.
Another thing to add. When I had my lift kit installed they aligned the truck (4 months ago) and recently replaced the rear shocks to the 5100 but no alignment was done because I was told it wasn’t needed. I took a trip with my prior trailer Roo 19 which was lighter and no issues at all. Trip was 4 1/2 hrs each way.
I can add another ring to my Equalizer WDH and transfer more to the front wheels. Since my weight distribution according to Equalizer measurements I’m at 60%. That is with half a tank of water and no wife and kids.
Thoughts?

I tow an Outdoors Mountain series travel trailer with mine. Cat scale came in at 13,000+- for both. So basically the camper weighs about 7k give or take. This trailer is heavy for a 25’ overall because it’s a true 4 season rig with 80 gal water storage. It does have springs and shocks so that helps towing. September I went to Kentucky from Colorado then down through Texas and home. Right at 4500 miles. Now down in Arizona for the winter and so far logged about 2k miles. No issues whatsoever and like someone mentioned, tows like a beast if needed on big hills. Previous truck was 2019 FX4 short bed and I thought it towed well but the Tremor has it beat. Oh and it has a recurve sway bar distribution hitch as well. Would never tow without one.
