Has anyone put black tape over both of the bluecruise cameras that look at your eyes to see if you are sleeping or distressed...I did not subscribe and never will...but always wonder when they will just turn on the cameras without my knowledge and maybe shut down the engine or not let it go into gear for some reason like maybe in 2027 ??

There’s only one camera and it can only manage to keep about 15 seconds of video before it runs out of memory so it’s only used in the event of a crash. It’s not tied to any logic for shutting down the engine or preventing driving outside of inattentiveness when Blue Cruise is on which slows the vehicle to 5 mph and puts the hazards on. Your easiest solution is to reference the other F150 forum for info on how to disable it through ForScan. And if you’re still concerned you can remove the hardware and send it to me, I wouldn’t mind trying to retrofit it for fun.

When I got my '25, the salesman pointed to 2 places where he said were cameras. One on the dash above the center screen and one on the A pillar. I tend to believe they are in both locations based on the warnings/notifications I have gotten when inadvertently blocking their "view".

I have no idea about whether they record or not.

There is one camera (B) on the left side above the sync screen. There are two IR projectors (A), one on the door pillar and the other on the right side of the center stack above the sync screen.

A and B are the places he pointed to. I just know blocking either of them sets off the warning to watch the road.

Warning to watch the road ? so they are activated even if you dont pay for bluecruise then ? ! I will try it soon,,tape off both A and B ...I dont want anyone watching me in my cab !
