Start/Stop eliminator

2 years plus, never a problem with it, circuit board is covered/protected with clear heat shrink
Ahh okay.
When one looks at the item via the Amazon link, it definitely doesn’t look like it has any type of heat shrink on it.

Just bought a new 2025 Tremor and found Forscan doesn't work to turn off ASS. Thanks to all your information out there I located a dongle on Ebay for under $50. Very easy to install and works like a champ.

I suppose the reason I hate ASS (appropriate name) so much is every time it would shut off the engine at a stop it reminds me of one of my first trucks that would stall sometimes at a stop if I didn't keep feathering the gas pedal.

I hope it continues to work for you compared to the proven products from the known brands.

Agreed. I paid almost $100 for the 4D Tech back in Nov '25 (for my '25 Tremor), but I have had zero issues, easy to install, and it feels/looks of high quality.

Good job getting this mod put into your trucks. Once installed the next thing I did was hid the light of the button by cutting a tiny tiny square of matt black tape with a pair of scissors and covered over the button light. Now I forget the truck even has ASS. Ahhhhhhhh, life is good…
I think you can actually disable the button light through Forscan.

This feature was deleted from the factory on my 2023 TREMOR but if it wasn’t, I’d definitely go for the 4D Tech version because of the simplicity and quickness of installing it compared to the installation in the center stack.

I have the 4D Tech on our '24 and '25 F150s, and they work perfectly; I have never had an issue.
Note that the other brands require you to open up your center console to install. Not something I wanted to do.
The 4D Tech, installs in 2 minutes behind your glovebox.

I believe you can disable this in Forscan it is in the IPC module “auto stop/start” is what I seen on my 2025

I've heard from many users that this change doesn't work in Forscan.

Oh ok. I make the change in Forscan but I have not drove my truck yet to see if it worked.

Hello!
I am also interested in FORScan disabling auto start/stop. Were you able to see if this worked? I have a 24' and would love to get this shit off

No this did not work back to the drawing board lol.

Stop stressing over this and buy the ASS eliminator relay and install. From everything I have read your Forscan is useless in this regard. I’ve installed 3 of them in all my vehicles and it does the job with minimal installation.

I used the 4D Tech one in my 2026 and it works great. Your 2025 should be the same, it's literally a 2 min install. Same if you need to remove to take back to the dealer for warranty work.

I have a 2026. I just tried installing the 4D and had a couple of things comes up. First the start up tri-tone chime is now active. Didn't have that prior to 4D install. No error code and the ASS did work and remember the last state. I lost all ability to use the Ford app, lock/unlock, remote start. Tried a ton of different things in the truck and app and finally pulled the 4D connector out. The chime remains on start up but I have remote/app/remote start back.

I have an e-mail into them to see what's going on.

Funny you mention this. I never use the app to lock/unlock/ASS but just tried it and your right. Mine doesn't work either. I never noticed the different chime sound, personally. Can you explain that one?

I just emailed them and they promptly responded back:

"Sorry to hear you had issues! The symptoms you describe happen when one of the two connectors is not fully seated. Please reseat both connectors, aiming for hearing an audible "click" when they are seated. We are confident this will resolve your issue. If for any reason it does not, reach back out so we can ensure your issue is resolved."

I am going to try this tonight. If that doesn't fix it, I may ask for a refund and look into the brand that I had for my Ram. Only downside, it goes behind the Sync screen.
