Halo Lifts Reviews

I hope caslim shows this to halolifts. I'm pretty sure Elka makes the units.
You’re right, Elka is the Mfg. I edited my post to call upon Elka to produce a Root Cause Analysis for us, but Kevin @ Halo (the retailer) may have to manage them, and I can help if it’s desired.

Hey Zimm, I plan to reach out to Kevin and even send him the CO if needed. In discussing with LTW Motorsports in Riverside, they commented that this is the 3rd Elka failure like this they have seen over the last 6 months. I haven't had time to assess the point of failure yet. I'm assuming a fastener came loose and the whole bottom cap came off.

Looks to be total failure of the bottom locking collar. Sheared it right off.

Here are some more picures. Eve from Halolifts reached out. They are going to get in contact with Elka about it.

No. It sheared off. The bolt is still in tact.

Buddy had a similar failure too. I can grab pictures, I was going to buy the Full 2.0 kit off him as he was going to a Raptor conversion and Fox live valves. But before he removed the front coilovers he blew one in similar fashion.

I don’t understand the failure mode here, and if it’s a design defect or a manufacturing defect. For example, If the threads of the red cap are backing themselves out, then this may be managed in-service with a re-torque and marking paint with periodic visual inspections.

@FanaticalKilla thanks for the helpful pic. that tube is definitely split. i wonder if it split first, then the red cap fell out. or, if the red cap threaded itself almost all the way out, and then the tube split. still seeking root cause here. also curious if this issue is isolated to the 2.0 body or if the 2.5 body is at risk as well.
