Hi all, I recently purchased a 2025 402A with the 5.0L. These are great trucks and I'm really enjoying it. I went pretty hard right out the gate with mods. Planning to do new wheels and 35s here soon.

Current Mods:
OCD Plug Screen Protector (no smudges!)
F150 LEDs Marker Lights
4D Tech Auto Start/Stop Eliminator
Husky Wheel Well Liners
Borla S Type Mid Section
License Plate LEDs from Amazon
Orange Tremor Tow Hooks
Raptor Steering Wheel (paddles don't work, debating whether I purchase the harness to enable this functionality)
Morimoto Third Brake Light
J&L Oil Separator
AM Offroad Grille Lights
Sound Mat on all Doors with block off plates
Sound Mat on rear wall with Sounds Good Stereos subwoofer package and amp
EGR Electric Tonneau Cover

Up Next:
Paint correction and Ceramic Coating
Eibach Pro 2R Kit
Method 321 Wheels and debating Tire Size
Whipple??

Here's some pics:

Love it! Looking really good... how do you like the EGR Rolltrac? I am debating between that and a couple Paragon covers.

I really like it. It fits so well and hardly any water gets in. A little bit towards the tailgate but it’s the best tonneau I’ve ever run. Probably had 5 others. The install is tedious and you have to drill 5 holes into the bed sidewalls for power and to rid water which is tough on a new truck but well worth it. I’d definitely recommend.

Edited to add pics of the holes you have to drill:

Forgot to add one of my favorite mods to date. And it’s free! I removed the rubber band securing one of the 3 anchor straps for the back seat and put it on the tray inside the center console to prevent it from sliding around. It’s also black so it blends well.

Just got the same truck but a 2026 model - I have always had black vehicles and I went with the avalanche color on this one - but dang you're making me slightly regret it with this - this truck looks so good in black!

How much difference did the sound deadening make? I have done that on older vehicles, but my other daily is a 2021 Land Cruiser that's dead quiet inside already so never crossed my mind on a newer ride.

Great build and will be following ur progress!

The avalanche is a great color. I’d be happy with avalanche, it hides being dirty so well. The sound deadening material definitely reduces road noise and helps a lot with the sub upgrade I did. It eliminates that tinny and hollow sound that you get. The doors also feel so much beefier when you close them. Yet another extremely tedious mod!

Oil change today at 1,780 miles. Amsoil signature series 5W-30, 8 quarts. Motorcraft FL-500S filter. I also installed Fumoto Valve F137N. After that, I put on aFe’s momentum GT intake. It’s well built and install was a breeze. Might hear a bit of an increase in exhaust note, otherwise, nothing from under the hood which is what I wanted. Debating the Livernois tune.

Installed M&R's light bar yesterday. I'm not sure if I like it, love it or hate it. It is great quality and fits with the curve of the truck extremely well - the kit comes with everything you need.

I also took the leap on the Livernois tune. Truck is much more peppy now but the shifts are just a little too firm and lurchy for my preference. I requested another tune to soften up shifts as well as fix my unstable idle. Idle is bouncing around between roughly 600-625 rpms every 3 seconds or so. My wife even noticed which was surprising. It is compounded with having the borla S mid section.

I reverted back to the stock tune today. The rough idle and lurching shifts were a pain but the last straw was having really poor a/c. Not sure what that was all about, I’ll bring it up with livernois. I requested another tune. Back to stock feels good. Sport mode stock is nice and driving smooth is no issue. With the performance tune, the 1->2 and 2->3 shifts were awful honestly.

If you have an auto start/stop eliminator, take it off

I do and still have it installed. You think that may be causing some of my issues? Thanks for chiming in.
Most likely. It should fix everything but the shifting. Livernois should be able to put the transmission back to OEM or ease the shifts a little.

Livernois turns off ASS in the tune so it will still be gone.

That’s great to hear. I should have known it would interfere with them removing the ASS. I’ll report back after I get a new shifting tune.

Was able to install the Eibach Pro 2R kit. The install wasn't too rough. It took me about 3.5 hours total for front and rears. The biggest pain was I didn't have a 21mm deep socket for the tie rod nut and prying the stock coilover out of the lower control arm, the driver side fought back a bit.

Resulted in a 1 3/4" increase on the front driver side and 1 7/8" increase on the passenger side.

I am liking the new look. Heading to get an alignment here soon.

Looks like it's only been a couple of days so maybe u don't have a good feel for it yet - but def interested in what you think of the Eibach set up. I actually went to order the HaloLifts Stage 3 kit - ordered it - then got a call from them saying they were actually out of stock lol (great customer service btw) - and will be another 6 weeks before they have more and I'm slightly impatient. Maybe more than slightly.

Funny man. I probably would have went with halo as well if they had what I was looking for in stock. They’re right up the road from me.

The 2R kit feels really great so far. No more boat feeling like the stock setup. The ride is much tighter with less body roll. I am feeling more road imperfections but it isn’t to the point of it being annoying. It feels really nice and much more planted. A big improvement over stock. I haven’t taken it off pavement yet.

This is an ignorant question because I’m new to owning, but I really like what you describe as the ride quality compared to stock. I’m not really looking for a lot of height. Could you do the 2R and go easy on the amount of lift and still get the ride benefits assuming stock wheels and tires?

A challenge I have is I don’t know anyone in my area that is a dealer/installer.

If I went with Halo, could I get the same ride benefits with their entry kit? Or do I need to go with the Stage 3.

That's really what I am looking for - thanks for the feedback man. I'm gonna see if I can be an adult an wait 6 weeks but if not I may grab the Eibach and call it a day. I also got the M&R light bar in today so that will at least keep me busy this weekend and I won't think about ordering the lift yet. Cheers!

theyre adjustable so you could probably run stock height. ride quality might be a diff story since usually when you raise/lower youre changing preload on the spring.
