Hi All,

I have a 2022 Tremor and currently have 315x70 R17 Tires with 17x8.5 +34mm offset raptor wheels. I have the rough country 2.5" leveling kit installed (front only). I'm looking to install Method 305 wheels in 17x8.5 0mm offset.. Does anybody have any experience with this? I currently do not have any rubbing and want to make sure that I won't have any with the 0mm offset, or if there is some that it would require minimal/easy trimming for it to work.

I’m not going to have an exact answer for you, but I have 0mm offset and started with a 35x12.5 and rubbed a ton, dropped down to a 305/70 Toyo and I have zero rubbing. I skipped a 315 just to be safe.

Most 315/70r17 are actually the same height as a 35 (34.4-34.5) but wider at 12.7” + versus 12.5 on a 35/12.5. At least from Nitto and Toyo. Mickey Thompson and Yokohama run 3”even taller, wider and heavier per manufacturer specs. All tires are not created equal or even to size measurement unfortunately.

A +0 offset wheel with a 35x12.5 will rub like crazy.

Stock offset to a +18 or +25 is a far smaller difference than a +0 and your scrub radius will be changed drastically.

I have +0 offset MR703s with a 295/70R17 34x12 Baja Boss and I don’t rub, but very close to. I’ll be swapping these out for a +18/25 (can’t remember the exact offset from method) when I step up to a 35x12.5. Avoided 35s because I couldn’t fit it in my garage.

Here's where I throw a wrench into the popular "35/12.50 tires with 0 offset wheels will rub like crazy" narrative....I have 35/12.50/17 Toyo AT3s on KMC KM446 Mesa forged monoblock wheels (17X8.5", 0 offset)....with the Eibach Stage 2 coilovers, SPC UCAs and a proper front alignment and I have no rubbing at all with the vast amount of on/off road driving that I do.

Granted, I'm not rock crawling or hitting massive off-camber situations (mostly fire/logging roads and light trails) but I haven't rubbed once. I do rub occasionally in reverse, wheel cranked, off camber...but it is very light....barely noticeable. Once I find a modular bumper to swap in giving me a bit more front wheel clearance then I will adjust caster slight forward and even my slight rubbing will be gone.

YMMV...

What do you mean by “proper front alignment”? Something more than getting the alignment numbers in spec?

Yes, I run 315/70/17’s on my non tremor f150 with fox 2.5’s and method 703 wheels +25 offset and also bora 3/8 spacers and no rubbing. The tech that did the alignment set the caster as high as it would go to center the tire while still hitting the right camber specs with stock upper arms. My specs are 4.6* caster driver side and 4.9* passenger with camber being -0.5* on both sides. The tires are wearing even and no rubbing after 15k miles.

Would they rub without the spacers?
